Exclamation DIAC Process ( Surname Change in Passport) Pls Help

Hi

My fathers name as well as the family name is misspelt in my passport ( V take our fathers name as a family name). 2yrs B4 I got a tourist visa for 45 days to aust with the same passport (Din't have any issues).
I am planning to apply for ACS and DIAC. I am not sure if I have to correct the spelling mistake ( not a major one 'TH' spelt as 'G' and 'W' as 'V' ) in my passport so it exactly mathches my birth certificate my tertiary and secondary certificates and my work. I'm going to do it in a legal way with deed of poll and afidavit if decide to do it which means I will have legal proof for name change.
My concern is this if DIAC will smell it fishy if i have done a surname change and father name spelling correction just before the application stage???? I am very confused???PLEASE HELP ME !!! Also when I got my tourist visa my sister was supporting my application and her passport carries our fathers name without any mistake which means last time they did understand that the fathers name is mistaken in my passport. so is it better to leave it as such.

Thanks in Advance
rpk

your call, i'd say get it changed in the pp. it will take just a day. go to the regional pp office, give them proofs and they will give u back the pp in a few hrs.
No one will doubt you, if they do, you can tell them the name actuallly is XYZ and the pp office mis-spelt it as XvZ..
