Default Where to live in Melbourne

Just a quick question
Hubby will be working in Richmond and we would like to live in a house not to far from a beach.
hubby will need to get public transport into work.
We will rent for first year till we settle then possibly buy..

The area needs to be family friendly with a choice of nurseries. We are a young British family.

WHERE SHOULD WE RENT???
What are the approx rents there?

Thanks

Hi International_mum,

Have you tried looking at realestate.com.au? You can type in suburbs and see it on a map etc. You can even see what the areas are like there.

I put in Richmond and this is what it produced....

Hope that helps,
Karen

Hi there,

If you do a search this question has come up quite a bit. Hopefully you'll find some info that might be of some help.

How far is your husband prepared to commute? And how far is 'not too far' from the beach? If you goodle map Richmond you will see where it's located and how far away the beach is.

Dolly

Good areas between Richmond and Sandringham reasonable close to the beach.

How much money do you have? Bring lots of it like 500k sterling plus

£500,000!!!!!! to rent?!?!
if we had that kind of money lying around we would not be struggling and leaving this place....

We might need to go slightly further afield, as that is too much for us to buy.

thanks

A small 3 bedroom place in Sandringham though which is close to the beach and still a 30 min train ride to Richmond will still set you abck $500 a week
