Does anyone know if the MODL changes this mid 2010 will affect you if you have only just lodged your TRA but not the visa application?? Im worried as we may not be able to lodge the visa application on time and our agent is screaming at us to get this through ASAP.. Are they really clamping down on the MODL ???

I know this may not help but until they announce the change no-one is exactly sure what they will do. Earlier this year some of the changes applied to people already applied and waiting for visas so what will happen this time is anyone's guess.

Ask me what came first, egg or hen and i can tell u but what happens in a week from now, no one can tell .. DIAc has been so unpredictable, imagine, when i spoek to this lady form ACT, she too was surprised as the changes had taken them by surprise back in february.. so yeah they do not leave anyone happy, not even the govt officials working for respective states

Thank you both for your thoughts and I know that we are all unsure as to the upcoming changes with the DIAC. What I was asking is that if you have just lodged your TRA, which we have only done so, are we safe enough or do you have to have your actaul visa lodged to be untouched!!! but then again who's to tell who is untouchable or not eh? I shall anxiously await and see. Ok so does anyone know a good fortune teller

if i knew a fortune teller i wud hv gone to him ages back..

anyway, yeah if u have filed already atleast the point system wise u wont be affected. What would affect you is the priority processing of applications. If your skill is in CSL and after changes the skill is off critical skill list, your application would be processed in normal priority like everyone elses. If you have state sponsorship, you might get priority.. so on adn forth btu no one can say what happens now
