Default 19 and moving to Australia..

Hey,

Im 19, male and sick off live in the UK.. Ive tried living at home (Newcastle) and tried living in Cornwall.. altho cornwall was a much better expirence and a much happier place for me to be.. The winter season leaves a lot to be desired.

So, ive decided instead of going to University this year im going to move abroad. Im just wondering does anyone know what its like or can offer any advice on how to get a life started over there? if futher education is an option? how much cash i might need to start this venture up.. And if its a wise move to go there on my own?

Thanks
- Gavin.

Hi Gavin,

Welcome to the forum.

Have you checked out the "Please read..." post towards the top of the forum?
That has links to the Aussie immigration website where you can check out the visa types. It really depends on how long you want to move here for since tourist visa are for about 3 months, but you may be able to get a working visa for 12 months. You could also check out the student visas if you wanted to continue studying

For more permanent moves Australia likes either experience or skills that they are looking for (there is a link in that same post).

We have 2 migration agents on this forum (Alan Collett and Liana Allan) and it may be worth contacting them to see what visa they would suggest - first consultations are usually free.

Regards,
Karen
