Smile Perth Move

I'm new to all of this.........
My partner and I along with our 8 month old daughter are looking into moving to Perth.

I have considered using an agency to make the move a little easier, does anyone know how much this may cost?
We have also been looking at some areas in Cottesloe and Mount Lawley - any thoughts on this and the schools in the area?
Oh and another question.........I'm a HR Manager and wondering if the area had many opportunities for this role?

Hi Gems30,

Welcome to the forum.

The cost of agents really depends on what services you want them to do. They can cost anywhere from a few hundred pounds to a few thousand pounds. We went with an agent because we knew our move wouldn't be straight forward and we wanted to get it right first time.

If you haven't already done so please check out the "PLEASE READ..." post towards the top of the forum. It has links for school websites, job websites and emigration agents. You can also check if your job is on the demand list.

If you are based in the UK there are several emigration expos every year that are worth going to to meet agents, and getting more info.

Regards,
Karen

Hi,

Migration agent fees vary but I think we paid around £3K, maybe a bit more. That was using their services for the skills assessment and then to lodge the main application. If you want to, you could use them just for your skills assessment (which would make it a bit cheaper).

Sorry, can't help you with areas of Perth as we live in Victoria.

Have you checked out the sticky at the top of the forum "PLEASE READ...", there's heaps of info to get you going. The most important one is the DIAC website.

Dolly
