Default Procedure for chaning employer

Hi!

I'd like to know the procedure of changing employer. Is there any ban on expat by the employer, does it require no objection letter from employer to change job?

Hi asifkilwani,

Is this question in relation to a particular visa? If you come in on a skilled independent visa then you can change jobs as you normally would. If you are asking with a sponsorship visa then that may be a different matter since I don't know what a sponsorship agreement includes.

Regards,
Karen

With sponsorship visa you need to make a new application each time you change employer or change role.

Hi

Does that also apply for the permanent visa obtained through the Employer Nominated Scheme (subclass 121/856)?

Thanks

NO. The 121 is a permanent visa. Once you meet the criteria you can change employers. Don't know how happy the employer would be, but notihng they can do about it.

Hi Marcus

This answers my query to you on another thread about changing job on a 121 visa... Found your reply here after posting on the other thread.

Thanks a lot. You've made someone very happy today :-). My friend (who works in IT in Melbourne by the way) can send through his application now.

Have a great day
Cheers
