Default what nice thing happened to you today

i actually pinched this from another site but knowing how bad the immigration process can be i thought it might be a nice idea to get it going on here so here we go

NO NEGATIVES ALLOWED

WHAT NICE THING HAPPENED TO YOU TODAY ?

i had a nice day cos i didn,t wake up with a hang-over from my 40th yesterday

i had a nice day today seeing my kids on the trampoline happy and healthy all playing NICELY together (shock)

watching my 18mnth old princess run and hide under my bed when i told her 'bedtime' (little beast)

getting a gorgeous pair of diamond earings thro the post that all my kids had clubbed together to get for my 40th yesterday

not waking with a hang over from my 40th yesterday

getting a text from hubbie even though he was only upstairs telling me he loved me, even if i am an old fart at 40 (soppy or what, who said romance was dead)

everyday is a good day with such a brilliant family, i,m a very lucky old fart

It's 10:30am today so not a lot has happened but let's see (I know you're trying to be positive in the context of an immigration application, but I have to remain positive during Culture Shock!!!)

1. waking up next to the man I love (awwwww)
2. driving partner to work in our new car that we bought on Friday.
3. having the week off before I start my new job means I can relax and do whatever I like.
4. in spite of gale-force winds and crazy rains in Melbourne that left thousands of homes damaged and/or without power, our house and car was untouched, so I'm happily sitting in front of my gas fireplace watching TV and surfing the net with my laptop plugged into the wall.... that's very lucky!

  • Sharing breakfast with my husband (in the UK he had to rush off so we didn't always do that)
  • Checking our shares and seeing the USA stock market a little more stable
  • Receiving a call from my parents in the UK to congratulate us on our 10th anniversary
  • Seeing the storms from our massive picture window but not getting of the nasty affects from it
  • Still glowing from meeting an incredible woman yesterday and knowing that we'll be starting up a mastermind group locally now

And of course the day's not over yet!

Regards,
Karen

This is very early for me only 07:08 at the moment in SA, but here goes:
1. Waking up next to my husband
2. Driving to work and there's no traffic lights out of order (no huge traffic jams)
3. And here I'm at work chatting to you guys...
4. Tonight seeing my husband and daughter (6 years old)

And yes, this is just the beginning of my day!!!

This is such a nice thread that I can't help but join in. So here we go...

1. Got woken up by my 3.5 year old son with a cuddle.
2. Hubbie likes his job...has great hours - he's home by 3:00pm everyday.
3. Son is back from preschool at 3m as well...lots of family time after that.

Our electicity came back on again after 51 hours...big storm here on Wednesday - trees down, a sand storm in the CBD.

So we've spent the last 2 days actually 'talking' to each other rather than being on our PCs..we've played board games in the evenings by candlelight - so having no electricity has been rather nice
