Some help please?

Hello there guys. I am hoping someone can help me.
Me and the fiance' are looking to come and live in Melbourne. I went to a seminar yesterday and was told that I meet the point (120) as a Gem cutter/ manufacturer however I would need to pass the english exam and get 25 points. This exam would be the highest one or else I would not make it.
Is this true? I heard the exam is very hard. Can someone please help me with this?

Hi Marine1,

I've not heard of that company. Just make sure that they are registered with MIA or MARA (see "Please read...." post) so they are qualified to give advice.

The English test is called IELTS (IELTS - English for International Opportunity) and you can find info on their website or by searching google.

Welcome to the forum. Where are you guys from? My husband and I are writing the IELTS test now on the 12th of April. So maybe after that I can give you more info. I know there is 4 modules and if you need to get 25 points you will have to pass each module with a 7/10. Some people say it's easy others say it's difficult so I suppose it all comes down to how good your english is.
