what about sponsorship ? would we not be able to sponsor our son, we can move to which ever area would allow us to be eligible as i read this is only possible in nominated area,s ? also we have OH,s sister living in au already if we cant do it she has said they will happily sponsor him ?

You can only sponsor a dependent child, and from what you have said thus far I am not confident he would be considered to be dependent.
