How much would a nurse expect to earn per week/month or year in OZ!!

I have asked before, i've checked websites, rang agencies but the answer varys wildly! So I thought i'd be cheeky and ask again hopfully theres is a nurse out there who can answer this for me?

it's my wife who's the nurse, this is his 4th year qualified!

She has not applied for any posts yet, we have spoken to some agencies and done some internet reserach and have come up with firgures from 38k-70k pa!!!

We would love to hear from nurse working now in Oz, we've had alot of "my sisters friends cousins aunt earns X amount a week" a lot of unreliable info!, never anything from the horses mouth so to speak

My salary as a midwife will be 62,000 per annum

im in my last year at university, getting my B. of nursing. So next year when im registered nurse i will recieve about $47,000/year as it will be my first year as a nurse and have little experience.

This is for a registered nurse in NSW working in the public health system the salary will increase each year with experience up till $65,000.

The salary for a registered nurse is higher if:
you work in private hospitals
specialise in areas, ect.

Once i have a few years experience i will be heading to be a flying nurse at dubbo
(google Royal Flying Nurse positions)
then might go into the big money in dubai if im still crazy.
