i relate to every single 1 of your posts. i am very releived it,s not just me that is totally irrational lol.
i dont know where i got my fear. my mother loved the discusting vile yuk yuk yuk creatures, has anyone reading this ever known anyone to have advertion therapy and did it work. ?
i cant even watch i,m a celebrity get me out of here untill the kids fast forward the commecial bit where one of the yukky things jumps up at the camare/screen. oouuuhhh it makes me feel yuk thinking about them. i know it,s ridiculous. i am a grown woman with 5 children for gods sake. and i know if this is all i have to worry about thats nothing as my darling husband keeps telling me.none of it helps. i quite like snakes and i cant acually think of any other living thing i,m really repulsed by except the dreaded S word.

I am THE world's worst arachnophobe. If I can live with them, anyone can.

I never, ever thought I'd hear myself say these words whilst I was in the UK but you just have to get on with it. Spiders are around and you will come in contact with them at some stage. But, they are not in every nook and cranny waiting to pounce.

You can moretein bomb your house and then get the pest control guy in to spray all around the house, and around the outside of your house too. It's very effective. We moved into our rental last October, put bombs in each room and haven't done so since. Haven't felt the need to. We do get a few daddy longleg spiders but I let them live in the house with us (and don't suck them up the hoover!) as they keep other bigger spiders (like the huntsman) away. The daddy longleg spiders are the most venemous spiders in Australia (but only to other spiders) as their fangs aren't strong enought to penetrate our skin.

If you are really concerned, then London Zoo do a Friendly Spider Programme. You have a bit of a talk, then some hypnotherapy and then over to the bug house to get up close and personal with the 8 legged beasts. By the end of the session you will hold a tarantula in your palm (I did it!!!!).
