Hi there is there anyone who can give some info on paying Tax on wages etc. For example if earnings were $800 per week what stoppages would be taken? How do we got about medical care?

Hi Karen,

Here is a simple tax calculator from the Australian tax office:

For Medicare we signed up in person when we got here. I don't think you can do it online since you have to take documents with you but you can check out the
link in the "PLEASE READ...." sticky post.
