Hi Dolly,

I read the first post in this thread and there you wrote that we should ask for credit reference letter from our bank. But I'm not from UK right now, will that be useful even if my current bank is just a local bank (in singapore)?

I guess it doesn't matter where your bank is. TBH after going through the emigration process, we never did need bank references (we were never asked by our bank over here). But, if you were thinking of buying property straightaway then definitely get a reference.

Maybe people should trying visiting the place they want to live in first or giving it a test run for a year or two. Unless they are up for serial emigration and wouldn't mind moving to New Zealand, Costa Rica and Australia like I did. Not that I'd change a thing of course!

hi Dolly,

this is mack, we are planning to migrate to australia and have lodged an application on the 13th of april for skilled migration on the CSL list for Accountant and just waiting to know when we will be getting our visa, any idea how long does it take and what is the time frame for subclass 175 on critical list to be finalised, and is it difficult to get a job for an auditor with master's degree in Commerce and PE II Level completed, my wife has not completed CA fully, this is the final level, she is giving, sorry to ask u so many questions at one go. we are in dubai now working. so we have applied for migration from dubai.

There is a link to a timeline website in the sticky "please read....." at the top of the forum page.

Sorry, can't really help on job availability for auditors. Once you get nearer to getting your visa, why not approach a few recruitment agencies and see what they say.
