Living cost in Brisbane

Our Son who is graduated will move in Australia (Brisbane) to take a Egineer position in a electrical company.
This company proposed him an annual gross salary of 45 000 AUS$.
Do you think that this offer is correct and if it is enought to live in Brisbane.

- How much He will pay for social contributions, taxes ans incomes taxes
- What are the housing cost (one bed room flat?) - how much He will pay for this type of housing?
- How much are the health costs and what about the Australian medical system?
- please to send us all information witch could help us to prepare this moving.

There are private health care companies but I think if he signs up for Medicare when he first arrives, he should be ok. In fact we've got aussie rellies and they don't have private healthcare, they are more than happy with Medicare.

I live in Victoria and we have to pay for our ambulance cover but I think in Queensland there's a levy....it's explained here.....
