Australian mobile providers

Hi everyone,
We recently decided to move to Sydney and there are so many things to think about and arrange, it's dazzling!

For example, what's the best mobile phone provider in Australia for the iPhone? I checked the Apple site and they list 5 providers (Telstra, Vodafone, Optus, Three and Virgin Mobile) Which one would be best?

I asked the same question as I am going next week - my wife has used Telstra the last 2 years and hates them. She said her friends like 3. I haven't decided who to go with yet.

It would be wise to see what coverage you get in the area you live. Where we are Telstra seems to be better than say Vodafone.
