hairdressing off the list ...is this true?

Default hairdressing off the list ...is this true?

Hello all

Currentley studying towards my City and guilds hairdressing qualification so as we can go to Oz in 5 yrs , but a freind off mine who is in Queensland (where we want to go) has just said it's come off the list! (she didn;t say what list and im unsure what visa she is going for) have looked on the internet but can't find anythig to support this, could anyone pls shed some light?

Hi Tasha:

There are (3) lists you need to look at:
1. Critical Skills List (CSL)
2. MODL
3. Skilled Occupation List (SOL)

Highest priority of processing (how fast you get your visa) is given to: CSL,
after that MODL, and finally all others on the SOL.

You should also read this in detail as some of the visas processing has now pushed out to 2012.

Actually the problem is hairdressing and beautician jobs are not in Critical Skill List. Maximum priority is for that critical list jobs, thats why they are saying it is off the list.
Hairdresser is in Modl.
If you are planning for a move as said by you is 5 years.
Then no need to worry as Diac says modl processing will be around 2011 to 2012.
