Default Need help: forgot to change student visa 573 to 572

Hi all,

I came to Australia originally on a student visa subclass 573 (higher education). Due to personal circumstance, I have changed from my bachelor study to a VET course and was issued with a COE for subclass 572. However, I didn't apply for this subclass while studying VET.

In 2 weeks, I want to go overseas. My visa is still 573 but my COE is 572. Will this cause a problem?

Please kindly advice.

Heaps of thanks in advance.

Yes it will cause problems. You are in breach of the terms of your visa.

You need to sort your visa out before you leave the country.

Yes, shouldn't be an issue and can be done quickly if you are a genuine student, actually studying your course and you qualify for the 572.
