Mobile phones ??

HI Guys...........Do UK mobile phones work in australia? or do you have to get a new sim card when you get over there? mine is a pay as you go phone, it may be different for contract phones?

They'll work here, but you do need a new SIM card otherwise you'd be paying UK rates and need to recharge your SIM every 5 mins (I'm sure the UK phone company won't mind).

You can pick up a cheap SIM at any grocery, newsagent, etc. when you get here. Then you'll have a local phone number at local rates.
