Hi Caroline

Is that Gosford NSW? If so its a lovely area. My husbands cousin lives there (in fact we're going to visit him this weekend!). Beautiful beaches and a bit warmer than where we are (an hour outside Sydney).

If you've got any specific questions just write me a list and I'll ask my husbands cousin this weekend.

Take care

Rach

Red face Too many questions for one email

Hi Rach,
Thankyou for replying, it is Gosford NSW.
If I wrote a list it would go on forever, it is so difficult to make a decision on one area when you don't know anything about that paticular place.
We know we cannot possibly afford a house in Sydney thats why we chose Gosford. We are hoping it is only a short distance from Sydney.
If you would ask a few questions we would be very grateful.
We would be looking for a location which is close by to all schools, towns ect. any suggestions?
On average how much would a four bedroon house in good condition cost?
What are the secondary schools and primary schools llike? is there much choice?
Is a carpenter sought after or would Billy have to travel?
Is Gosford a good area? {meaning more for tourist than living}
Are there many clubs ect for our girls to join?
What are the medical facilities like?
Is there good public transport?

I think that is enough for now to give us a starting point.

Have a good weekend.

All the best
Caroline

Gosford, itself, is not the best place to live but there are lots of great places on the Central Coast.

Hi again Caroline

Sorry but we didnt make it to Gosford this weekend after - NSW had terrible storms and the Hunter Region & North Gosford was hit worst of all. Worst storms for 30 years apparently.

You can read about it here:-

HI Caroline

If you come here on PR then you dont need to take out extra insurance as you have the full benefits of medicare. Its just like in the UK - personal choice - if you use the NHS in the UK then no doubt you'll be happy to use Medicare in Australia
