Question Secondary Applicant Ielts Valdity

Hye All,

I am applying for subclass 176 . I am secondary applicant and I have taken test on June 28th 2008 but would be filing application this month.
My scores are 7.0
Can I use my Ilets Scores or should re sit the exam as its over 1 year .

In the Immigration Site I find it mentions only about functional english of secondary applicants . which is quite confusing.
Does it mean that even if secondary applicant is good enough in english even with his education all done in english medium and even if he/she gets 7.0 or more
comes under functional english and has to take test if its more than a year .

I have got 16 yrs of education all done English .BUt the information put up is not clear .

Kinld help . I do not want to take chances .
Thanks.

You must provide one of the following:

Your IELTS TRF Number to show you have a band score of at least four and a half (4.5) based on all four components.
Important: If you are using an IELTS test to show functional English, it must be from a test sat no more than 12 months before making your application.

Evidence that you have a degree, diploma or trade qualification requiring at least two (2) years of full time study or training with all instruction conducted in English.

Evidence that you have completed at least one (1) year of full time study in Australia towards a degree or diploma qualification with all instruction conducted in English

Evidence that you have completed one of the following at an educational institution where all instruction was conducted in English:

- Your primary education and at least three (3) years of secondary education, or

- At least five (5) years of secondary education.

In my case I provided Evidence that I had completed at least one (1) year of full time study in Australia towards a degree or diploma qualification with all instruction conducted in English and it was accepted.

u can give proofs that u have studied in english meduim. get a letter from your school and college that all your education/subjects was in english. along with that attach your ielts transcript. they wont ask u to sit for it. if thye are not satisfied, they might but I know ppl who gave these proofs and were able to make it.
