Hi Dixonclan,

Welcome to the forum.

I assume you have your visas already? Is it the type of visa that allows you to live anywhere - I know I'm just checking the obvious since some visas are only regional.

Have you taken a look at the Sticky thread called "Please read..." towards the top of the forum. That has links to job websites, weather info and info on the States.

If you want to check out house prices or rentals try
Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au
www.domain.com.au

We are in South Australia (it's beautiful) but we are not based in Adelaide since we are further down south near the coast.

Hope that helps,
Karen

I don't know much about Adelaide but i wouldn't worry to much about a job as soon as you get there your husband can visit builders and im sure he will find a job easy enough. bricklayer - Trades / Services Jobs in Australia & NZ ther is a link to a web site in OZ looking for trades men so may be that may help you.

If you check the website Kaiz gave you it will give you an idea on what you can get for rentals i think most people stay in a holiday home or something similar for the first two weeks on till they find a house to rent some are fully furnished.

in finding schools i picked an area did a bit of research on it and found the schools in the area then i went on to google maps to check the distance form area were i could get a house and shops and that might be an idea for your self we are going to the sunshine coast queensland

good luck with every thing
