Default thinking of moving from northern ireland

hi there
me and a friend are thinking of moving from northern ireland to perth australia. we are both 26 year old men and are both truck drivers . does anyone know if there is much demand for truck drivers in perth and what the wages are. or if anyone else have any ideas of other countries that would want truck drivers and the wages that are paid.

many thanks Andy

Hi Andy,

Welcome to the forum.

What sort of visa are you hoping to get? Are you hoping to be sponsored as a truck driver?

If you check out the "Please read..." sticky post towards the top of the forum that has links for visas and also links for job websites in Australia. That may give you an idea if there is a demand for truck drivers in Perth and also the wages.

Regards,
Karen

Hi Andy,

I'm not a visa expert - just someone who made the move myself back in July 2007.

You may need to check whether you can extend a visa like that either on the website (if you gives you those details) or at an emigration expo or with an emigration agent.

If you search in google (or any other search engine) for emigration expos there are few coming up in the UK over the next couple of months.

Regards,
Karen
