Anyone moving to Oz Aug/Sept/Oct????

Hi All

We are heading to Oz first week of Sept and there are just not enough hours in the day,
We are nearly working 24hour shifts to pack and organise bills etc etc,
Curious how anyone in the same situation is getting on and any tips..........

Hi David,

We came out 2 years ago and we paid to have most of the packing done for us but some things simply got swept off tables and into boxes because we didn't have time to sort through it

For tips check out Dolly's sticky posts towards the top of the forum since she has done some great lists there - you may have read through them already though.

another thing i would suggest (i follow it everytime), make sure u paste a list on every box with what the box contains, makes life easier.. number the boxes and keep a list with u as well.. so when u are there and need something, u know which box to open

i don't seem to know what to pack for now, but trust me, when the time comes, i'm gonna be in panic mode! eek!

Yes! me and my husband. We move on 31st August. Not too bad though as I'm a teacher and finished work on 21st July. We are also renting house out - leaving furniture so only got 3 big boxes and a few pictures to be shipped! My husband finishes work this week. Just got to make sure all our other stuff fits in our suitcases now!

I'm moving end of October. Still waiting for my pre-spousal visa (that's a little stressful). Still trying to rent / sell my house (even more stressful). Not too worried about the packing and shipping though. Just bringing stuff in boxes, no furniture. I worry daily though about my dog on the plane and then being quarantined.
