The 176 fee for DIAC is $2960...
there are other costs like skills assessment which will depend on the agency from where you get your skills assessed...

You get used to it. I was like that at the beginning and even now I tend to compare prices to the US and roll my eyes, rant and rave at rip off Aussie retailers...lol.

We do a majority of our shopping (clothes, toiletries and certain food items) online and mainly from the US and UK (look out for free shipping offers).

You also have to remember you earn A$ and not INR

Can't wait for my next visit to India and eating out and stocking up on my spices...lol

Hi;
will be moving to Adelaide in July 1st week. Any pointers on buying a decent second hand car in the range of AUS$ 5000 ?
the car prices seem to be a rip-off compared to USA...I had a new corolla 2010 model for $15K but this is not even close to what its gonna cost me in Aus ...
Which brands/models can be bought in the AUS$5000 range?

Have you checked Used Cars - New Cars - Search New & Used Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au You can select by price, area etc.
