SA State Sponsorship Approved!!!

Hi All,

Anybody got SA State Sponsorship recently?? I got my approval yesterday when I checked the online Clinet Tracking System. May be within a couple of days time I will get the official communication, am I correct??

I have submitted my Visa application during Feb 2008 (Paper) under 176 Family Sponsored category. How to change the Appl to State Sponsored?? And what I have to do to get a CO allotted?? Those who got State Sponsorship recently may please guide me.....

I, too, have obtained state sponsorship from SA last 28 May 2009. I am not sure how to change your application to 176-state sponsored. But, what I am sure of is that, if you have applied your visa application online, you could use the same online facility you have used for attaching documents in attaching the printed copy of the Online Tracking Form indicating that your application has been approved.

One important step that you should also not miss is to use the Client Tracking Form in sending to Immi SA your visa reference number (e.g. TRN). In the last line of the form, you would see the link which states REQUEST FORM 1100 HERE. You need to click tha link and type in your TRN. After you have done so, you would be reverted back to the last page you viewed wherein you would see a new line stating that Immi SA has received your TRN or visa reference number, that they will be sending the Form 1100 to DIAC in your behalf, and that you would be receiving a confirmation email that the Form 1100 has really been sent to DIAC.
This step is very important because, if DIAC does not receive the Form 1100 from Immi SA, your visa subclass 176 application will not progress as state-sponsored at all. I have known a case similar to yours wherein a state-sponsored visa application lodged in 2008 did no progress because Immi SA failed to send the Form 1100 to DIAC.

Once DIAC receives and approves the Form 1100 sent by Immi SA, your application would already be assessed as state-sponsored 176 application without paying another visa fee. To check if DIAC has already received the Form 1100, you could lodge a Post-Lodgement Enquiry (PLE) Form to ask the Department on the status of your application.

It is also through a PLE that you could obtain information on whether you have already been allocated a CO. State-sponsored GSM visa applications now have the highest priority for CO allocation. Your CO may contact you for further information if so required.

Thats pretty much what we did to change to 176. We accepted the state sponsorship by email and then sent a PLE to DIAC with an email saying that we had a change of circumstances and explained that we were changing to a 176 Visa. We uploaded the state sponsorship letter with the documents already uploaded and got the CO within 10 days. That was in early/mid June.

Congratulations satish on your state sponsership approval. Accroding to the immi site if state sponsership is approved then DIAC will directly receive the letter from the state sponsership authorities.

Its better you lodge PLE and mention your SS details in that. Your application will get processed faster.
