Hi Madmum,

We have certainly noticed that food bills are higher than the UK. Not sure whether it where we are or whether generally there is less competition. For us (two adults) it costs about A$130 a week on food (about 60 pounds). We weren't spending anything like that in the UK but then we had the cheaper European supermarkets around like Lidl and Aldi. Aldi is in Australia but not where we are.

Regards,
Karen

Unhappy Thats sounds SO expensive!!!

Geeee's.... (getting into character) Can't believe how expensive food bills can be. I too have 3 children and a hubby, we are looking to move to Brisbane (fingers crossed). I was seriously hoping, wishing that my food bills would go down......feel VERY deflated now!!! Will be watching this thread with interest.
