Brisbane or Sydney?

Hi,

I've be working in Brisbane for the past 6 months from the UK, I've been offered a job with more money in Sydney, wondering whether to move or not.

Is Sydney actually a better city than Brisbane?

My mrs hates the lack of shops in Brisbane.

Although the weather and people are great.

Hi surfbum99, sorry i can't help you with your move to sydney although i would expect the rentals to be a little harder to secure! We are going to Brisbane later this year but are a mature family of four!!!!!! However!!can you tell me what you mean by lack of shops????and any other advice greatly welcome...ellisa

A lot of shops here in the city only, but the trouble is there no good clothes shops, even in Sydney.

TK Maxx (What a great Idea) nothing like that here. All good labels not here. Good M&S clothes and food. No mid range shops like Next which are fashionable for kids, and good prices, either little beutiques that are expensive, or crap like K-Mart. Louise V etc are here, but hey.

Hi Alistair, I find the clothes senario very worrying!!! as i like my fashion, i was told this by my cousin as well who lives in brissie but its nice for someone to clarify it for me. I don't know what i will do but i have stocked up on next clothes etc this summer! I think i will get my sister to post parcels over to me when i have picked items from the next directory thats all i can do as it won't stop me from coming!!!!thanks ellisa
