we applied for 175 in march end and yet to be allocated CO. The app is on CSL so i was expecting a quick response but its been about 4 months and have not heard from them.
I was wondering when will the app proceed? when will we have a CO?
i understand your guess is as good as mine, but based on the current scenario if the members can throw some light?

Hi there,

Have you looked at the timeline thread?

I'm guess you're looking at at a minimum of 6-8 months before you get a CO allocated.

Thank you for advising that your nominated occupation is on the Critical
Skills List. We can confirm that this information has been noted on your
file.

The allocation of applications on the Critical Skills List has
commenced. Each application will be checked to identify if it meets the
priority processing criteria as announced by the Minister of Immigration
on the 17 December 2008. The process to identify applications that meet
the priority processing criteria is ongoing.

If your application is identified as meeting the priority processing
criteria, your application will be referred to the relevant processing
area for allocation to a case officer. Applications will be processed in
date of lodgement order.
I have been doing that once in a fortnight or so... but most its a generic template that i get. Above is a sample of it. Wondering if ple helps?

was wondering if i should wait for CO n then go for PCC?

Thanks

rushabh, it doesnt take long, if u have a passport which is not more thn 2 yrs old and has the same address as ur current address, they do it in a couple of days, u hv to go to the passport office, submit papers and it is done in no time. other way is going to the police station and getting it done directly form there (i heard a few ppl got it done straight from the police station, dunno how it works though)

why dont u contact regional passport office or some agent there and ask how it is done. and my suggestion would be to wait till u get ur CO. if u get it done now and if u get ur CO in 4 months, tht wud giv eu just 8 months for the initial entry, if u r alright with it then go ahead.. get it done

I think we should maybe stop hassling DIAC and maybe we will get quicker decisions out of them!', I am in the same position but if everyone keeps chasing them for an update every 5 mins then how will they get any work done. I don't mean to flame anyone here but don't you all agree.... Just my 2pence worth...

are you saying you have been sending a ple to DIAC every few days? Umm, while it is a good idea to send a ple to keep people/DIAC on track, most people would say to do it every 30/40 days, not every other day. There was a thread before that said that COs get angry if there are too many ples. Its a good idea to send a ple, but do it sensibly since you will get the same message for your ples if you send them often.

Just wondering if PLE is an accronym and what does it stands for? or it is the same as plea?
