Question ACS Network Security -- Rejection ???

Hi Friends!

I have applied for skill assessment on 2 June 2009, under Network Security ASCO Code(2231-79).

Also I have attached whole of my work profile relating to Network Security.

I have got their reply stating that I am unsuitable.

Below is their reply.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I refer to your application for a pre-migration skills assessment, which was received by the Australian Computer Society on 2 June 2009.

You have been assessed as meeting the qualification requirements for Group B of the ACS PIM 2,but do not satisfy requirements for relevant professional information technology experience of 6 years.

Your work experience has been calculated as follows:

Dates: 08/03-07/06 (2yrs 11 mths)
Position: Security Engineer
Employer: Aditya Infotech

Dates: 08/06-03/08 (1yrs 7mths)
Position: Security Engineer
Employer: HCL Comnet

Dates: 03/08 – 12/08 (0yrs 9 mths)
Position: System Engineer
Employer: 3i Infotech

Dates: 12/08 – 05/09 (0yrs 5mths)
Position: Security Specialist
Employer: Ogilvy & Mather

In accordance with the assessment starndards it has set, ACS has made the following assessment:

Your skills have been assessed to be unsuitable for migration under 2231-79 of the ASCO Code, being the skilled occupation indicated that you intend to nominate in a General Skilled Migration Application.

Should you wish to appeal against this assessment you may apply in writing to the Deputy Director, at the above address. Before doing so please refer to the PIM Guidelines for details of the appeal process. The time limit on the acceptance of appeals is 60 days from the date of this letter of advice. Appeals received after this date will not be accepted.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you suggest I shall do?

I feel that rather then considering me in 4 years experience category, they have considered me for 6 years experience category.

Can this be considered as their mistake & can a clarification can happen?

Request you all to provide your valuable feedback.

With Regards,
Nrupak D Shah

I have done Diploma in Computer Science.

Can you please help me out finding where do they have specified this thing.

As I had an impression that they require 4 years of experience if I have a skill in demand.

If they are sticking to the 6 years experience, you only have 6 months to go to get that 6 years.
