please can anyone tell me , even with medicare in australia , you still need to take out medical insurance , for a family of 4 this works out to 1000.00 pounds a year which will cover dentist treatment etc.
is this right for queensland.

Hi David,

Welcome to the forum.

I don't think it matters where you live as much as what level of cover you require.

One website that is advertised on television is Private Health Insurance Australia - iSelect. I'm not sure whether it has all the available insurances but you may be able to get a free quote there.
