Default Some advice

Hi, I've been thinking about working abroad for a while and as I've just split up with my partner am guessing now is the time to make a clean break. I'm just completing my probabtionary year in teaching so will be fully qualified as an early years teacher and would like to get a job doing this somewhere in Australia or New Zealand. Has anyone got any advice of where to start, feeling a bit daunted and don't know what to do next! Have I got a chance of getting a job?!

Any advice will be really appreciated.

Hi Sminty,

Welcome to the forum.

Where to start is do you qualify for any of the visas? See the useful websites post (top of this forum) for a link to the Australian government website. Some of the visas depend on age and work experience.

There is also an MODL (the jobs that are in demand) link so that you can see if your job is on the list.

There are also links to job sites in that post so you can see if you can get a job here.

There are also emigration agents that usually give a first free consultation.

Hope that starts you off,
Karen

Hi there we are also thinking of making the move to Oz and I have been looking for advice as you are. We have booked tickets to an expo conference in Feb in Edinburgh. Think they are on in London And Belfast as well at later dates. Have been advised this is the best step forward. Good luck. Jan

Hi
im an aussie secondary teacher and im living in the uk. Australia is desperate for teachers however being a big continent some places are more desperate than others. You will have no trouble finding work. Its just getting up the courage to take the first step.
