Thanks.

If I get a job there we will move before May 2010. Otherwise we go on vacation to Oz and just validate our visa and come back. I do not want to slip in a risky territory by quitting my current job and search a new job in Oz.

Hi Shankar, in my opinion i would search for a job from here only and try to clear the interview otherwise as you mentioned go for a vacation to valid the visa and search for a job there during vacation period. If it clicks try to buy some time from your new employer and later join.
This will add a travelling cost on you. But, you will be on the safer side at the end.

But finally the story ended on a happy note as my visa was granted on 10th July 2009. Need to validate my visa before 3rd June 2010. So I have much room to search for a job in Oz.

I would like to thank the forum members for their suggestions and I wish all the applicants good luck.

Going to an agent is completely depends on the conditions and the time you have with you.

But basically the agents and individuals follow the same process to get the visa. On top of that agents provide some services like landing and settlement. But I did not opt for these services as I have few friends there in Oz....I will be taking their help.

If you just want to obtain a visa and you don't want any other extra services, then you can file your case on your own if your documents are fine. In my case I did not have the time to take care of all these activities, so approached agent.
