Default Medical's?

Hi All, looking to pick your brains again please.
It seems just now that getting a visa is like doing a 1000 piece jigsaw, finding new things everyday. When it comes to Medicals what can count against you? im a wee bit worried about it because I have had a hip replacement at 28 (long story) do you think this will count against me?

Thanks

Richard

As Baby75 said they look at it to see if you are going to be a drain on their medical system. I was technically obese when I took the medical (and I had lost some weight) but because everything was okay I still got through.

Good luck!

Karen

thanks for that, i wont need another op for 10-15 yrs they reckon!
here goes:- broke my hip falling off my bike when I was 12, had it pinned/unpinned/pinned again throughout the years. I here you say thats unusual, well they reckon I had Perthes a condition which can affect anyone between 8-12 and I was just unlucky!!!
Yes those are my boys and thanks for the compliment, what age are yours? what age where they when you moved? do they love it?

Regards

Richard

talk about un lucky alright good to see they were able to do some thing for you though. well from what i found out as long as you can work and wont need any assistance from the Australian government because you cant work because of your condition then i don't think you will have a problem as by the time you need an operation you will have paid enough tax ild say at that stage to cover it or you could use private insurance.

my boys are 6,4 and 20 months birthdays are soon we are still in the process hoping to be gone in June this year im just a book worm
