Hi Richard, yeah - how can you tell!!!!!

What about you then - hibees or Jambo's?????

Good luck with your travels to Melbourne, my sis in law & family lived there before they relocated to Brisbane and apparently it's beautiful. She still owns and rents a house out there actually, so passes through now and then.

When in the year are you hoping to emigrate?

How long have you been waiting? I thought that you would get a yes relatively quickly and just the paperwork to be sorted after that, bit of a minefield eh

Well Richard that's us now at the end of the line, we done the on-line application (much quicker) as soon as the tra gave us the go ahead, then the next step is to do your meds - asap - so they can be forwarded to Sydney then updated on their end of the application. Inbetween all that you can get all your documents notorised by your solicitor, scan them and e-mail them straight to the visa people so they can update your application. Once this is all complete i think you wait an average 12 weeks for a decision!

Where the meds are concerned, it's so quick, all they basically do is a quick weight, height, eye check, and hiv test. You do the chest x ray separately which is only to screen for tb and nothing else! It's all such a drain on the purse 5 minute jobs but has to be done!

Hope this helps,

Gav and Wendy

hi there
where the medicals are concerned can you get them done on the NHS or do you have to attend one of the special private clinics that i have heard mentioned. I am a nurse and can so easily do most of these checks during my working day.

When we had ours done they gave us a selection of private clinics that would do them and we selected the closest. I think they want to know the doctor is on their panel and so is known to be trustworthy.

Karen
