Award wages in oz?????????

Hi all

Does anyone know what award pay means. When looking at job adverts under wages it says award pay or award wages. Is this a certain scale they use. Im looking at jobs in childcare so may just be in this industry.

If anyone knows about this then it would e great to find out as nearly every job is saying the same thing.

I found this website workplace.gov.au - Check your award or wages
and that may be of some use.

I have my own business so I don't know about the pay awards personally.
