Visa Granted - My 175 Timeline

Hi all! Hang with me for this post. My agent called from Ireland at 4:30am my time (forgetting the time difference since I'm back in the States) so I'm a little foggy today (like I was going to be able to fall back asleep after learning my visa was granted!). I thought there was a sticky but I don't see it so here goes:

14/10/2008 - Application Received, processing commenced
I submitted my medicals and police checks in November (some prefer to wait until the CO requests them)
They updated that my medicals were received (the page has changed so I don't have the date but it was shortly after I sent them).
Then it was a Loooooong wait.
21/5/2009 Application Being Processed further (all of my documents were then marked and dated as 'met' on the document checklist)
02/07/2009 175 visa granted.

I applied as a civil engineer (single application - no others) on the 175. Agents were a great help. I'm off to nap now!! :-)

I bet once you heard who was calling you woke up very quickly

Hiya .... CONGRATULATIONS and best of luck with your move to oz!!! Its so nice to hear that the 175 visas are being granted....well done! and i know this will reassure others on the forum.

Not leaving until Novomeber, so plenty of time. Plan on travelling for two months before I settle in Melbourne in January. Hopefully my boyfriend's cousin will have bought a rental property by then and we'll fill that. Just moved back from Ireland and staying with parents in between so nothing to sell and everything's already in boxes. I suppose it's not as stressful as I thought when I look at it that way...
