Hi G

This means you would get your CO soon or already a CO has been working on your case. Wait a bit, they will contact you if they need anything from you.

Cheers and wish u luck. Keep us posted on how things go fr you

PS. were you on CSL or MODL? Because in my knowledge only CSLs are being allocated COs right now

If you are on MODL and not in CSL, this is good news for those who are on MODL. Thanks for confirming

No one can really comment on the time it would take, but it should take not more thn a month from ur medical received since it takes close to 4 weeks for the meds to be final, once cleared, they give you a go immediately. But again, DIAC timeline is not behaving normal since forever now

I guess 3-4 months tops.. but thats my observation, I can be wrong

Wait for a while, keep checking the website for any changes in the progress page, the next would be work experience (met instead of the current further check/verification required). you can send a PLE in a couple of weeks if you do not hear from them. and start finding out about meds and PCC, that would be next after work exp. verification

I am sure that 'processing commenced' just means that your visa application has been started, processing further is usualy the staement when you have a C/O.

In regards to time scales, Most November2008 and some December 2008 applications that are ON the CSL have a C/O.

Hope this helps and good luck.

now i am really confused! i got an email from my agent who said that 'processing commenced' means nothing and that they are not actually processing our visa, it only means that they have received our application! i dont get it, if thats the case why dont they just say 'received'!!

i find it really frustrating and our agents have been useless! i also received an email today from my agent saying that they will no longer be giving us any more updates and we just have to wait!!!

What!!!

I doubt they'd get any more details or updates than you would checking that website. I just got approved for my 175 and the timeline went something like this (I'll repost it in the sticky link too):

14/10/2008 - Application Received, processing commenced
I submitted my medicals and police checks in November (some prefer to wait until the CO requests them)
They updated that my medicals were received (the page has changed so I don't have the date but it was shortly after I sent them).
Then it was a Loooooong wait.
21/5/2009 Application Being Processed further (all of my documents were then marked and dated as 'met' on the document checklist)
02/07/2009 175 visa granted.

I applied as a civil engineer (single application - no others) on the 175.
