Young canadians need some advice. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone. Me and 3 friends from Toronto, Canada are planning to move to Australia for a while on the Working Holiday Visa. We're all young profesionals and we're looking to experience the land down under.
From the research I've done so far it looks like Melborune, Brisbane or Sydney might be the places for us, but I'm not sure. I'm a little bit confused when it comes to deciding what is the difference between Melbourne and Sydney.
We're looking to have fun, find some decent work in IT while we're down there, do some traveling and enjoy all that Australia has to offer.

Have a look at some job sites (see new helpful websites post) and see where you are most likely to get the IT work that you do.

When I was looking for JDE IT work I know that Sydney was better for me although it really depends on what you do.

Thanks for the reply Kaz. Well, we're very experienced in web development, internet technologies dotNet, Php, Ajax, Flex, MYSQL, MSSQL, Content Management Systems, web project management etc, anything that has to do with the web.
I'm still a little confused about the difference between Sydney and Melbourne, same climate? same size? what are the pros and cons?

I think that Sydney is bigger but that may be just because it is much more spread out because of the harbour. I've only been to Sydney and Melbourne for brief holidays (long stopovers). I like Sydney because of the harbour, but then again Melbourne has the Yarra river....
