Default Police Clearance

Hi there

I applied for police clearance putting the addressee of report as Australian High Commissioner. Is this the place to whom it should be addressed? or actually whom should it be addressed?

Um...Don't really understand your question . Do you mean to say you're applying for Australian PC through the Australian High Commissioner? Or Sri Lanka PC? Or you have already received the PC from the respective authorities and you want to submit it to your CO for further visa processing?

Hi Miss Swan

I will attach it online. My question is that in the PC letter which name should they mention. ( Addressee of that PC), I just applied for Sri lanka PC. this is for 176 Visa.
Ex:
1. To : Australian High Commissioner or
2. To: Department of Immigration and Citizenship

I put Australian High Commissioner, I want to confirm whether this is correct.

Thanks

Actually I don't think it matters whether you use AHC or DIAC, as long as it gets to the right place and into your file.

Hi Madhawa

To be on the safe side, make it generic. It shouldn't address anyone in particular. Use "To whom it may concern". That will be fine.

Cheers
