Default Police clearance query

Hello Freinds,

I got the email from DIAC & as a part of requirement they are asking for Police clearance certificates from each country I stayed for more than 12 months.

So far I stayed in India & USA for more than 12 months. I've applied for PCC in both the countries.

Indian consulate needs 2 months time to get it done. USA FBI neend same time to process the request.

In CO's email I have 24 days to provide this documents which doesnt seems possible.

Is there anyone in the similiar situation before? Pls help me.

Thanks,

Anu.

Hi Anu:

Send the response from both India and FBI and send it to your CO, that way they know that you have applied and are basically waiting. This will keep your application open and there will no negative affect from the processing time the other countries PCC checks take.

Yes, written response from India & USA is vital. If you have it, super. If not, have them write the time frame out, and submit to DIAC.

Congrats!

Your Visa is just a touch away now. May I know when you applied? Was it 175 CSL or 176 State Nomination? If State which state?

Don't worry, you can extend the timeline..I know one of my online friend you had similiar issues and he got deadline extended by just mailing his CO about the issue.

HI Anu

the normal time taken for PCC in India, if u are in India and residing at the same residence which is in your passport, is a fortnight.

i know a lot of people who got their PCC done in not more thn 12 days. they went to the passport office, submitted the papers and the passport and it was done in no time. but they were residing at the same address as on their passport. they send the police enquiry to the area police station, they do the regular check and send the papers and passport back to you. you can also employ an agent to do it for u which is faster as they know their way in and do it for a fee.
