5 Section:
Please provide detail relation between selected Areas of Knowledge and what learned from Type of Work and Qualifications

Area of Knowledge Relevant Prior Qualifications and Experience Related to what Learned from Type of Work (From Section 2, 3.1 and 3.2)

Computer Organization and Architecture
While I was doing my Diploma in Computer Programming I learned Introduction to Computer Architecture like history and evolution of computer systems, fundamental s of designs, Instruction Sets such as hardware operations basics, assembly etc., Computer Logic, Arithmetic operations and Floating point computation, CPU: Data and Control: Datapaths, multiprogramming, etc., Memory Systems, Interfacing Peripherals, Multiprocessors and the components of computer hardware and their interactions, as well as the technological principles driving development in computer hardware.

Database Management
I learned Database Management Systems during my graduation. We were having subject Dbase/Database. The term database refers to the collection of related records, and the software should be referred to as the database management system or DBMS. Database management systems are usually categorized according to the data model that they support: relational, object-relational, network, and so on. The data model will tend to determine the query languages that are available to access the database. A great deal of the internal engineering of a DBMS, however, is independent of the data model, and is concerned with managing factors such as performance, concurrency, integrity, and recovery from hardware failures.

Data Communications and Networks, Security
I acquired the knowledge of Local Area Networks my certification course. I studied Computer Networks and Data Communications which provided with the understanding of different communication networks, technologies used, protocols and media used in the communication. This is my informative knowledge interest and at some point my job requires these technologies.
In my professional career I had performed some jobs with administering Windows OS, LAN, troubleshooting and desktop support.

Data Structures and Algorithms
While preparing for Masters in computer Applications I had taken a course in data structures and algorithms. The course covered on how to create our own algorithms, the principles of data-abstraction and algorithm design, and the tools that use particular algorithms. The topics that were covered in this course included brief revision of pointers and dynamic data, object oriented programming which in turn covered areas such as OOP concepts, stacks, constructors, destructors and dynamic data, graph algorithms. Other areas of the course touched on string processing algorithms, string searching, pattern matching, parsing, file compression. The course also covered general methods for developing algorithms such as brute strength method, divide and conquer method, dynamic programming and genetic algorithms

Discrete Mathematics
Another course that I had taken while preparing for my diploma in computer applications was a study in discrete mathematics. The course covered topics such as logic and proofs- quantifiers, nested quantifiers, proofs, resolution proofs, mathematical induction, sets, functions, sequence and strings, relations – equivalence relations, matrices of relations, relational databases, algorithms- design and analysis of an algorithm, recursive algorithm . The course also gave a detailed study on number theory, recurrence relations, graph theory, trees, network models, boolean algebras and combinational circuits, automatas, grammars and languages and computational geometry.

Ethical / Social Implications / Professional Practice
I have been working as a professional in the field of information technology for 8 years. I have professionally and sincerely delivered my services to my employers, and I understand the importance of ethics in the workplace. During my tenure with C Co. - & A Co. Inc., I was exposed to a very ethical, multicultural and diverse working environment at a corporate level .Myself being a professional in the IT industry sincerely feel that best ethics and best practices bring the best results.

Interpersonal Communications
I strongly believe that ethics and communication skills are God gifted bounties, but human being has the ability to groom or polish them according to his capabilities.
I consider myself extremely lucky not just by possessing this valued treasure, but also I have put-in extra efforts to spruce it. I am a strong believer of the fact that goals are never achieved with average or normal efforts but are always achieved with extra and additional efforts. In today’s dynamic market, technical know how alone is not sufficient to lead and fulfill a successful project. A great deal of communication skills in specific and general fields is equally important.

Program Design and Implementation
Being responsible for implementing the project, I was in constant communication with the end-users to study and analyze their needs and requirements. This proved to be a golden opportunity for me to learn and implement the practical aspects of what I had been taught It was my responsibility to ensure that all communication between our team and the client was clear and concise.
These modules provide me an essential knowledge of database systems including basic design principles, practical implementation and development skills that was required for a systems analyst.
It also makes me understand the importance for structured query languages which will be used or demonstrated for a variety of tasks including querying and report writing.
My role in the project mainly involved customer software development, technical documentation, project management, user acceptance testing(UAT), training of staff and implementation of ideas.

I would like to give some references of my work and learning experience by mentioning these projects.

Project 1 : Implementation of the Proposed software(Automangement) in C Co. Container Terminal.

• Played a key role in pilot testing the system at the client’s side
• Responsible for conducting training sessions for the users.
• Responsible for identifying and problem solving system issues.
• Installation of the system and Post implementation user support.
Documenting both technical and user manuals.

Project Management
The Project Management skills that I had learnt in my experience played a critical role in the success of each of the projects. My course for my bachelors degree also include industrial organization and management. My active participation in course projects taught me how to put many a theory into practice and hence learn the practical solution to real life problems related to these fields.
During the course of these projects, I realized that we needed simple but essential tools to steer any project in the right direction. My knowledge and experience in decision making and problem solving, effective communication, listening skills, working with difficult people and working in teams helped me to complete the assigned projects effectively.

Software Engineering and Methodologies
Another course which was part of my graduation and diploma in computers course is software engineering and methodologies. The course highlights the principles and methods of software engineering, including current and emerging and software engineering practices and support tools. The topics that were covered during the duration of the course are :

Software Process: the software lifecycle, the waterfall model and variations, risk-driven approaches, introduction to evolutionary and prototyping approaches , system classifications.

Project management :
Relationship to lifecycle , project planning , project control, project organization , risk management, cost models, configuration management, version control, quality assurance, metrics.

User consideration : Human factors, usability, internationalization, user interface documentation, user manuals.

Software requirements: Requirements analysis, requirements solicitation , analysis tools, requirements definition, requirements specification, static and dynamic specifications, requirements review.

Software Design- design for reuse, design for change, design notations, design evaluations and validation.

Implementation –Programming standards and procedures, modularity, data abstraction, static analysis, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, tools for testing, fault tolerance.

Maintenance: The maintenance problem, the nature of maintenance, planning for maintenance.

Documentation: Documentation formats, tools, internal documentation . In addition, the course also covered topics like formal methods, tools and environments for software engineering, role of programming paradigm, process maturity.

System Analysis and Design
I have studied System Analysis & Designing thoroughly during my bachelors degree, which gave me in-depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, the practical implementation of what I studied was done during my final year project and as well as while working in C Co. - during the designing, development & implementation of Inventory Control Application.
Project: Final Year Project
Solutions: Developed Student’s e-Records
My final year project was an ideal project that I designed with 3 other members. We utilized our knowledge and skills acquired during our degree, to its maximum and as a result our project was ranked second among my batch.
The project started with defining the strategies as how the project will be executed, what will be the roles and responsibilities. I willingly accepted the challenge to demonstrate my System Analyst and Developer skills.
Every project is different hence there is a different approach to, and methodology to address it. Apart from above, even during implementations programming skills are must knowledge without it, implementations cannot be successful.

System Software
While preparing for Diploma in computer Applications I had taken a course in systems software. The course covered the basic concepts of machine structure, instruction formats, addressing modes. It taught on the functions and features of assemblers- machine dependent, machine independent, design options, one-pass and multi-pass implementation . It covered topics on loaders and linkers – functions, features, relocation , program linking, linking loader implementation , automatic library search loader option, linkage editors, dynamic linking, bootstrap loaders. It also included a detailed study on macroprocessors – its functions, macro parameters, using labels, conditional macro expansion , recursive macro expansion , general purpose macro processors. It also gave a brief look at compilers and utilities- different phases of a compiler, simple one pass compiler, code optimization techniques, system software tools, implementation of editors and debuggers.
