Hi blades1889,

Have you looked through the 'PLEASE READ....' sticky post towards the top of the forum? That has a link to the DIAC visa wizard and lists the most common visas.

If you are under 31 then there is the working holiday visa, or there are temporary visa options (state or employer sponsored).

It really depends on what you do and how long you want to spend here.

I think it's been advised that you apply for one visa at a time.

What are you actually looking to do? Try out Oz, take a working holiday or move here permanently?

Regards,
Karen

Hi guys,

I'm in Sydney at moment & can tell you that market is very slow in Finance.
I'm lucky as I've been contracting here for a while & that is standing to me now. I'm meeting lots of guys though here that have come over & they're not finding anything.
Think twice before making the move.

Hi mate,

If your under 30 you can get in here on a Working Holiday visa. After that, they make it bloody hard for you to stay. Luckily for us, we are sponsored contractors. Not a chance ou can get one of those now though with the downturn, recruitment agencies have stopped it.
