It didn't change for me, but I don't whinge that much. At the end of the day the only person in misery is the one whinging.

Yip i agree, you just have to get on with it, it's not as if you've just moved down the road!

I for one was shocked when we arrived here, no matter how much research we done and mental preparation, it was still an eye opener for me, but i think the main thing was the realisation that no one i knew was nearby, that hurt but you have to pick yourself up and get on with it.

I am settling quite well now and at first i thought i'd never get used to Australia. So it's all very possible for anyone so long as they have the right mindset and attitude.

I guess, human mentality..or perfect human nature is to try hard to get something and when they do, they keep complaining. I guess if the place is that bad and one isnt able to adjust, instead of complaining he shud move out. and if he doesnt, it means he is liking it but being a true human, is complaining.. this is my thinking.. a friend always complained about his wife, one day i got so irritated, i asked him to leave her if she is that bad, y come to us all the time and gossip.. tht was the last day he complained about her. :P and they lived happily ever after
