It can be so easy to get in a habit of moaning, I sometimes did that when I was younger, thankfully not so much now. I have a lovely fiancé, about to move into a lovely home, have a wonderful church and live in a lovely part of Victoria. Yes, my life is not perfect, still need a job and there are many things I prefer in the UK to here, such as my family, BBC drama and driving standards!! But home is where the heart is. Anj, it's great you said something, I'm so glad they're so happy!

Hi BK,
I once told someone while having a conversation, you are either pregnant or you are not, there is nothing in between. so you are either happy or you are not. if you are then stop cribbing and enjoy it, if you are not then move on and find another something that makes you happy. If 1% you feel like staying back, it means u r happy but are not willing to accept it so fast coz ur ego doesnt let u..as simple as tht.. and also that one can not get everything in life. u cant get snow and beach at the same time can u?

I had snow and beach at the same time on the island though I suppose the fact that the snow wouldn't settle on the sand doesn't count !!

I have a cousin who lives in long beach and a few years back when we visited them i went to the beach in the morning to catch some rays and there was a guy surfing he kindly gave me a go on the boogie board which i made a complete mess of and ended up flapping like a flounder.

We then drove up to the mountain cabin in big bear and we were snow boarding in the afternoon. I had never tried it before and we ended up at the top of the slopes with only one way down well one conventional way, after practicing for a while i thought I was getting the hang of it when I had a huge fall. I then invented another way down the slope, it consisted of slinging the stupid board under my arm and walking all the way down. it turned out I had cracked a rib and being 8000 feet up it is not good for the lack of breath. anyway i will take the beach life anyday.
