visa time scales

hi everyone,

im a bit new to this so fingers crossed this goes out!!

me and my husband started our paperwork for the 175 back in september 2007 and it was only in dec 2008 after lots of forms, money and skills assesments that our paperwork got submitted to DIMA!

my husband is an electrician and we have recently heard that his skills have now been down graded and our agents apparently have no idea on processing times!

does anyone have any idea on how long the 175 visa are taking, also they have mentioned that the 176 visa might be a bit quicker but again they cant tell us how much quicker!

can anyone help us

Hi Gemma,

Welcome to the forum.

The issue is that no-one knows how long visas will take since the Critical Skills List (CSL) was only changed on March 16th.

There is a time line thread but that if for visas processed under the old system at the moment.

It's only as some time passes that we'll know how much affect those changes will have on visa time scales.

Sorry I couldn't tell you anything more but everyone waiting for with a visa application is in the same situation and is asking the same question....
