Default easy going landlords?

Where are all the happy go lucky landlords? The Uk is full of them, who don't give a toss where you've been before or where the money is coming from!

How are emigrating people supposed to get a rental, when they've no ex landlord references due to the fact that you own your house.

There must be some landlords in Brisbane that are quite happy to allow migrants to rent easy peasy as long as the money is up front.

Ah yes - references to rent! I remember that now. It is a standard procedure. When I first started renting (as an 18yo!) I used a character reference from my high school. After that I just gave them the phone number of the previous real estate agency. i never got the impression that they cared that much, it was just part of the process.
