Default Australia education and law

Hello,

Well for a little back ground, I'm 20, been working now for 3 years in an IT/Telecoms company and moving up... My life goal however, has always been to study Law, and even began th epursuit before I left due to some personal reasons. I did promptly return to school, am performing well, and now reconsidering reapplying to the Law faculty.

Unfortunately however, I come form an Island in the caribbean, we are very small and overpopulated with lawyers already - succeeding is tough. And I hate to bad mouth my country, but the legal system is as ****ty as can be slow, unbeleivably slow, incredibly corrupt and I have begun calling my homeland the "land of the apes". Mostly because of the sheer stupidity of the people within it, the lack of government initiative and the idiotic staff they employ to run it. Maybe this is everywhere, i do not know but i Hhope not.

I do travel often for work, love the big city life and am planning a trip to Australia this december to explore more of my academic options. Does anyone maybe have any advice?

What is the market there for new attorney's? Job opportunities/salaries etc?

Any idea on what a reasonable apartment (1 or 2 bedroom or even a good sized studio apartment) may cost on a monthly basis in Sydney where I would be studying?

Does anyone know if graduating with a Law degree would help the migration process? Anyother advice would be great.

-Luke
