Question Financial Adviser in need of points and looking to move to Perth...help needed please

Hello folks,

this is my first thread, so here it goes.

In the UK, I am a financial adviser and it is mine and my wife's ambition to move to Perth, Australia in the next year or so.

When it comes to the eligibility assessment, i have some questions to ask. I am a financial adviser, therefore I am only eligibile for 40 points which causes a problem.

However, the company is my own and I am a company director. I employ and manage people in my company, set their sales targets and organise all the marketing for the company. Therefore, would I qualify as a SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER with 60 points, rather than a FINANCIAL ADVISER with only 40 points?

Any tips and good advice would be welcome.

Thanks

Marc

Hi Marc,

Whether or not you would be successful with an AIM assessment would really depend on the size of your company, the amount of staff you employ, your turnover etc.

Also, the ACT and NSW are currently sponsoring financial advisers, have you considered a state sponsored visa or are you also short of points there?

Cheers,
Veronika
