Default skilled visa

hiya once I have finished my training in accountancy I intend on completing a BA (Hons) in Leadership, Management and Organisation. With 12 months work experience will this be a suitable qualification to apply for a skilled visa 175 or does my BA (Hons) have to be in accountants?
thanks
Christie

You will need to be assessed by CPA Australia to ensure that you have been trained in all the required areas. Here is a link for more information on what they require:

https://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/cps/...8_ENA_HTML.htm

Hope that helps a little. If all else fails, seek a consultation with a migration agent.

Hi Martins,

I am only getting to know the process myself so please dont take anything I say as advice or even correct! I have completed my ACCA. Whilst I do have a BA im not 100% sure if that is required in addition to an approved accountancy qualification. See the Aussie Immi site for work experience requirements, I though it was a minimum of 3 years (could be wrong)....that said our agent told us that although I did not have any experience in an accounting role I do have 3 years + as a financial advisor, which is deemed as a closely related role. So if you have been working in a different role, it may count towards your experience requirement.

hope this helps

cheers

Karl

ah is it three years exp you need?

il take a look at that site to try to get more info.

think its going to be a longer process than we thought

anyone got any idea about community workers, my husband does this kind of work now and has NVQ but no higher qualifications. he has about 5 years experience though, could we use him as the main applicant?

thanks

Hi,

Here's the criteria for Community Worker: 1220.0 - Australian Standard Classification of Occupations (ASCO) Second Edition, 1997

I'd suggest you contact a migration agent as they will give you your options - their first consultation is usually free without obligation. We have a few agents who post on here and you can contact them via their signatures (SOMV, Alan Collett). We used George Lombard Welcome to Austimmigration | George Lombard Consultancy Pty. Ltd. and Karen (the other Mod on this forum) used The Emigration Group - Jobs in New Zealand, visa Australia, jobs in Australia, visa NZ. . Whichever agent you may decide to use, always make sure they are MIA/MARA registered.
