Smile student nurse seeks help with starting out in sydney!!

I am a student nurse who is hoping to emmigrate to sydney or there abouts when ive finished my training and got a little experience, probably 2011/2012. i am hoping to come to over to oz in august of this year to holiday on the west coast and then do a week or so of scouting in sydney to get a feel for life in general is like as a nurse in oz. i was hoping that i might be able to arrange for a walk round a hospital or to see some nursing accomodation, is anyone able to suggest how i might go about arranging this? or is anyone able to tell me how they found their first few weeks/months on emmigrating? i know i love australia but it's a big move that i will be making on my own so need to be sure its for me!! any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks

Cassieb why don't you contact some hospitals directly? Or recruiters who recruit for nurses specifically? I am sure they will be happy to hear from you.

The NSW Nurses Registration Board may also be useful (they also have links to employers):
Nurses and Midwives Board, New South Wales, Australia - Nurses and Midwives Board

Cheers,
Veronika
